About The Position

The Registrar position at Brenham ISD involves maintaining student academic and attendance records at the campus level with minimal supervision. The role includes processing student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals, as well as performing data entry tasks related to attendance and grades under close supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of secretarial experience

  • Proficient keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance skills
  • Ability to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
  • Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
  • Knowledge of basic math skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain student academic records and process requests for information and transcripts.
  • Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.
  • Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
  • Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
  • Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator.
  • Assist counselors with the enrollment, withdrawals, and transfer of students.
  • Assist campus administration and counselors with the preparation of reports and student data information.
  • Compile, maintain, and file or distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
  • Assist campus staff as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
