Open Positions (Pipeline Posting) ER Registrar – Part Time (3 Positions) -Requisition ID: 333459 Department: Emergency Room Schedule: Every weekend and holidays, all shifts. Additional shifts as needed. This position is ideal for college students, especially those pursuing a nursing or healthcare-related degree, looking to gain hands-on hospital experience while maintaining a flexible schedule. Position Summary Collects patient demographic and insurance information for emergency department services. Collects insurance, co-pay, and deductibles at point of service. Quickly and efficiently expedites the registration process while providing a positive first impression of the hospital. ER Registrar – PRN – Requisition ID: 333462 Department: Emergency Room Schedule: As needed; no minimum shift requirement. Typically up to 6–8 shifts per month depending on staffing needs. Position Summary Provides flexible coverage for the Emergency Department registration team by collecting patient demographic and insurance information and facilitating the patient intake process efficiently and accurately. Outpatient Registrar – Full Time (Lab/Surgery Registration) – Requisition ID: 333646 Position Code: 06445 Registrar Department: Outpatient Registration – Lab/Surgery Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM Position Summary Collects patient demographic and insurance information for outpatient services. Collects insurance, co-pay, and deductibles at point of service. Quickly and efficiently expedites the registration process while providing a positive first impression of the hospital to the public. Reports to: Director of Patient Access FLSA: Non-Exempt

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree preferred
Handle With Care certification required within 30 days of orientation and maintained annually
Critical thinking and decisive judgment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail and data accuracy

Responsibilities

Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system accurately and timely
Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members
Meets with patients or caregivers before or after admission to obtain required information and documentation
Provides explanation of registration processes and addresses questions or concerns
Communicates with physician offices, nursing staff, and other departments regarding admissions and patient placement
Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization when required
Determines and collects required payments including co-pays and deductibles or refers patients to financial counselors when needed
Review and comply with Lifepoint Code of Conduct and all relevant company and division policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
