About The Position
Havasu Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to perform receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with direct and scheduled patient admissions. The role involves ensuring that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy. The registrar will distribute and explain forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members, and communicate with the admitting physician's office, nursing unit staff, and other appropriate personnel regarding admissions. The position requires verifying insurance benefits, obtaining precertification/authorization, and determining and accepting required payments, including co-pays and deductibles. The registrar will also document actions taken in the facility's computer system, including insurance and financial transactions.
