About The Position

Requirements

  • Prior experience in patient admitting, managed care, patient billing, or contracting.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, collect, and record patient information for hospital service registrations.
  • Coordinate the admissions process and communicate with physician offices and nursing staff.
  • Verify insurance benefits and document pre-authorization/pre-certification as needed.
  • Assess patient eligibility for financial assistance and collect applicable co-pays or deductibles.
  • Assist patients and family members in resolving financial needs, including establishing payment arrangements.
  • Promote patient satisfaction and serve as a liaison between the hospital and patients.
