About The Position

The University of Florida is looking for a University Registrar Services Coordinator I to support student records processes within the Office of the University Registrar. In this role, you will maintain and verify academic records, assist with end‑of‑term processes, and provide guidance to students, faculty, and staff regarding university policies. Key responsibilities included, but are not limited to: Student Records Management Maintain student record data including grades, course title changes, majors/minors, transfer credit, study abroad, and retroactive corrections. Enter and update academic transactions in the student information system. Transcribe historical hard‑copy academic records (Permanent Record Cards) into digital format. Monitor, apply, clear, and interpret holds in accordance with university and State Board of Education rules. Data Verification and Quality Assurance Verify data entry for grade changes, S/U options, study abroad updates, and other academic adjustments. Identify and resolve discrepancies between electronic and hard‑copy records using edit lists. Assist with degree and transcript verification in coordination with the National Student Clearinghouse. Academic Operations Support end‑of‑term operations, including posting grades and certifying/posting degrees and credentials. Contribute to transcript release processes. Provide information and guidance via phone or online to students, families, faculty, staff, and the public. Interpret and communicate registrar and university policies aligned with federal and state guidelines. Assist with registration, room scheduling, imaging, and related office processes during peak periods. Other Duties Collaborate on reviewing internal procedures and identifying workflow improvements. Provide information for reports, projects, and official correspondence. Update online manuals to reflect current processes. Assist with interviewing, training, supervising, and evaluating part‑time student assistants. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
