About The Position

The Registrar Director at Guttman Community College is responsible for providing leadership and vision for the Office of the Registrar, managing all official collegiate academic records, and ensuring compliance with academic policies and federal regulations. This role oversees technology-based student information services, promotes strategic planning for academic and enrollment objectives, and advocates for student needs while fostering collaboration across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.
  • Experience within the CUNY System is preferred.
  • Experience with software and platforms used in CUNY (e.g., CUNY First, DegreeWorks) is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in a diverse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and vision for the Office of the Registrar.
  • Manage all official collegiate academic records and ensure compliance with FERPA guidelines.
  • Oversee technology-based student information services essential to the College.
  • Promote academic and enrollment strategic planning in alignment with College objectives.
  • Analyze and report on data concerning educational policies and student performance.
  • Ensure all curricula and policies are accurately reflected in the college catalog and student information systems.
  • Plan and direct all registration and add/drop processes in coordination with related units.
  • Serve as the certifying official regarding transcripts, enrollment, and graduation candidates.
  • Audit student records and manage compliance with Federal, State, and City record-keeping requirements.
  • Oversee the dissemination of the Academic Calendar and Academic Catalogs.
