Registered Veterinary Technician
About The Position
Registered Veterinary Technician wanted for VCA Eye Clinic for Animals in San Diego, CA Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd # A, San Diego, CA 92111 No Overnight Shifts or Weekends Schedule: 4 x 10 hour Shifts Monday through Friday Compensation: $25 to $30 / hour, depending on your experience and years in the industry ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Venipuncture, Catheter placement Anesthesia induction and monitoring Assist with physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Patient Recovery and animal husbandry Maintaining medical records Laboratory work Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients QUALIFICATIONS: Must have documented previous experience, Ophthalmology experience preferred Hold a current RVT license Must have surgery experience Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings and weekends Customer service skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communications skills Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments BENEFITS: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical/dental/vision and paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts and more! Requirements
- Must have documented previous experience, Ophthalmology experience preferred
