About The Position

Archdale Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team in Archdale, NC. We are looking for a full-time RVT who is passionate about patient care, client education, and teamwork , and who enjoys using their full technical skill set in a collaborative general practice environment. This role is ideal for a technician with at least one year of experience supporting veterinary teams in a general practice or emergency setting who is ready to continue building their technical expertise while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. RVTs work closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care while supporting a welcoming and compassionate client experience. Requirements

  • Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an RVT in a veterinary hospital (general practice or emergency setting)
  • Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic support
  • Excellent animal handling and patient care abilities
  • Strong communication skills with both clients and team members
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy clinical environment

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle and restrain canine and feline patients
  • Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and treatment information
  • Monitor hospitalized and recovering patients
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care for patients throughout their visit
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Administer medications (PO, SQ, IM, IV)
  • Assist with anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Provide surgical preparation and assistance
  • Perform diagnostic imaging including radiographs
  • Conduct in-house laboratory testing including bloodwork and urinalysis
  • Support dental procedures and patient monitoring
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients
  • Provide education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
  • Help ensure clients feel informed, supported, and confident in their pet’s care
