About The Position
Registered Veterinary Technician wanted for VCA Eye Clinic for Animals in San Diego, CA Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd # A, San Diego, CA 92111 No Overnight Shifts or Weekends Schedule: 4 x 10 hour Shifts Monday through Friday Compensation: $25 to $30 / hour, depending on your experience and years in the industry ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Venipuncture, Catheter placement • Anesthesia induction and monitoring • Assist with physical examinations and patient assessment • Surgical preparation and assisting • Patient Recovery and animal husbandry • Maintaining medical records • Laboratory work • Laboratory work • Pharmacy • Patient recovery • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients The information in this position description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed. Requirements
- Must have documented previous experience, Ophthalmology experience preferred
- Hold a current RVT license
- Must have surgery experience
- Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings and weekends
- Customer service skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent communications skills
- Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
