About The Position

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves animals and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood, and running bloodwork, knowledge of X-rays and dental X-rays, proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and supportive team member. The veterinary industry is constantly changing and advancing- Katella Animal Clinic encourages its staff to do the same. Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT licence must be current)
- 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience (required)
- Strong anesthesia monitoring experience
- Experience with dental X-rays
- Highly skilled at teaching, training, and mentoring vet tech knowledge and skills with staff
- Experience with inventory for surgeries and back-of-the-house medications, and supplies
- Understands surgery scheduling and helps to control each surgery's flow to stay on track
- Full-time hours (required)
- Saturday & Sunday shifts (required)
