VCA Coast Animal Hospital is adding a full time, Dentistry and Surgery experienced Registered Veterinary Technician. RVT certification is required. Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement as well as Surgical, Dental, and Anesthesia experience. The ideal candidate will also possess great client communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Dentistry Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience Hold a current RVT license Must have surgery and dentistry experience including dental extractions Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays Customer service skills including Phone skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communications skills Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments Must Haves: Positive attitude, willingness to teach and train others, open mindedness and ability to accept feedback, desire to continue to learn, grow and develop, excellent written and oral communication skills Why Join The VCA Family?
