About The Position

VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center (Hotel Circle) is a fast-paced, 24-hour emergency/specialty referral practice in beautiful San Diego, California. We are seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture, Catheter placement
• Anesthesia Induction/monitoring
• Assist with physical examinations and patient assessments
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Patient recovery and animal husbandry
• Maintaining medical records
• Filling prescriptions
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets
