About The Position
As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Surgery at SAGE Dublin, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team that is committed to providing the highest standards of veterinary care. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and surgical tools, allowing us to offer a robust Surgery service alongside Emergency, Critical Care, Urgent Care, Oncology, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. In your role as a Surgery RVT, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and the well-being of our patients. Your duties will include conducting pre-surgical examinations, administering pre-anesthetic medications, monitoring patient responses, and managing IV catheters for fluid therapy. You will also be tasked with sterilizing and setting up surgical instruments, assisting in tissue handling, and accurately documenting all aspects of the surgical procedure. Postoperative care, including pain management and wound care, will also be part of your responsibilities, along with ensuring that the surgical suite is ready for subsequent procedures.
