About The Position

Mason Family Pet Hospital is currently seeking to hire Registered Veterinary Technicians to help support our fast paced, multi doctor veterinary practice! Over the past 20 years, we have served the Mason community by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and an excellent experience to our clients. We are aware of the stress that comes with working in the veterinary field and we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a fun, relaxed, and supportive atmosphere for our team members. If you share our love for pets and people, we would love to speak with you! We are open to both full and part time candidates. Preference given to full-time candidates, with experience in a surgical setting being a plus.

Requirements

  • New graduate from an AVMA accredited school with intent to sit for VTNE accepted.
  • Previous veterinary experience of more than 1 year.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, e-mail, and practice management software experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and attend to details.

  • Prior client service experience in a related area preferred but not required.

  • Dedication to excellent client communication and exceptional client care.
  • Passion for growth and development, open to accepting feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Execute treatment orders as directed by a DVM, including placing IV Catheters, phlebotomy, administering injections, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and perioperative surgical nursing.
  • Safely restrain patients for various types of treatments and procedures.
  • Adapt to the demands of the day.
  • Work efficiently and remain calm during stressful situations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional client care.
  • Advocate for excellent patient care.
