Cary Veterinary Hospital, a small animal general practice in Cary, NC, is seeking an experienced or new graduate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, or CVT) to join our close-knit, collaborative medical team. Requirements

Certification as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT)
Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates with passion and drive are welcome to apply!
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle and restrain animals safely, including aggressive animals.
Professional, compassionate, and adaptable.
Comfortable with the emotional and physical demands of a veterinary clinic, including euthanasia.
Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Avimark is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during exams, providing safe and effective restraint.
Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
Perform routine dental cleanings and administer anesthesia under veterinarian supervision.
Monitor anesthesia and provide post-operative care.
Obtain diagnostic radiographs with proper positioning and technique.
Perform lab tests (blood, urine, feces) to support diagnosis and treatment.
Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer injections (IV, IM, SQ).
Assist with surgery preparation, including shaving surgical sites and placing IV catheters.
Maintain clean exam and treatment areas.
Support client education and proper medical record keeping.
