This is a full-time position (35-40 hours per week). We're open Monday through Friday and every other Saturday. Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams and procedures, ensuring safe and effective animal restraint
  • Performing pre-physical tasks (weights, temperatures, histories, reason for visit)
  • Administering prescribed medications, vaccines, treatments, and assisting with dental cleanings
  • Monitoring anesthesia and patient vitals following established safety protocols
  • Obtaining and positioning radiographs
  • Monitoring surgical patients during recovery
  • Running in-house lab tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal analysis)
  • Providing emergency first aid and life-saving support when needed
  • Preparing and labeling samples for laboratory testing
  • Maintaining and sterilizing equipment and instruments
  • Preparing patients for surgery, including IV catheter placement and clipping
  • Filling prescriptions and accurately labeling medications
  • Keeping exam rooms and treatment areas clean and organized
  • Collaborating with veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and client communication
