About The Position
Tulare Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, 3-doctor mixed animal practice located in the heart of California’s Central Valley. Our team provides high-quality care to a diverse caseload, including both small animals and dairy cattle, with a strong reputation for advanced diagnostics and compassionate treatment. While we serve a mixed animal clientele, this role is dedicated to our small animal hospital team. Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Skilled in surgical prep, catheter placement, phlebotomy, and radiology
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assisting with exams, treatments, and care for patients.
- Supporting doctors in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency procedures
- Performing dental cleanings, digital radiographs, and collecting lab samples
- Administering medications, vaccines, and maintaining accurate medical records
- Filling prescriptions and ensuring proper logging and handling of controlled substances
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and organized hospital environment
- Occasionally assisting with front desk duties as needed
