About The Position

VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is seeking a registered veterinary technician to join our team as an Oncology Technician. We are an AAHA-accredited, 24/7 hybrid hospital that takes pride in servicing our community. As a hospital we are very interested in taking necessary steps to continue our growth. We have a very busy and well-established hospital looking for knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate technicians to help us provide our clients with a high touch and great experience. Our team is the backbone of our hospital and without everyone’s skills, knowledge and fun-loving personalities we can’t succeed. Our oncology technicians are responsible for safely caring for and treating our patients here to see the Oncologist. You will work closely with the Oncologist to provide care, diagnostics and treatments to your patients. You will be responsible for safely handling chemotherapy medications, client interaction and communication, performing diagnostics, and reviewing treatment plans. We’re a teaching hospital and we want to train the best and the brightest for our future.
