About The Position

The Registered Vascular Ultrasound Tech at East Alabama Medical Center is responsible for performing ultrasound imaging in accordance with established standards. This role emphasizes high-quality imaging, customer service, and efficient departmental operations, while also requiring flexibility to work on-call and during various shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Requirements

• Graduate or enrolled in a School of Sonography/Radiography or hospital/military program with registry status expected within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of date of hire or transfer.
• ARDMS RVT or ARRT(VS) registration required.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a school of Sonography or RDMS RVT registered.
• Recent hospital experience as a US technologist preferred.
• Preferred registration/license/certification: ARRT (VS) and ARDMS RVT.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging by ACR, facility, and radiologist standards.
• Demonstrate ultrasound principles to acquire quality images.
• Provide superior customer service in accordance with facility core values.
• Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
• Be available for on-call duties and work varying shifts, including holidays and weekends.
