Sante Health System is calling all highly motivated RVT Sonographers in the Fresno, CA area to apply and join our team! In this rewarding role, you will work in tandem with the provider in diagnostic and imaging assistance during procedures. You will be a part of team that believes in providing exceptional patient care to our community. This is a full time opportunity, 30+ hours per week. No on-call, no weekend, or holiday coverage. This role may also be offered on a part-time basis, with an expected commitment of 24 hours per week (5–6 hours daily.) Requirements

  • Associates degree and/or two years allied health background in an AMA approved program in ultrasonography with certification in diagnostic ultrasound
  • Current registration or registry eligible (must be sitting for exam within 3 months of hire) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or current registration as either a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Must maintain active RVT, RVS, or RPhS certification
  • Minimum 2 years "paid" experience

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with Lead Physician and Team Leader to monitor ultrasound tech workflows.
  • Report any questions or concerns to Lead Physician and/or Team Leader as appropriate.
  • Perform venous ultrasound examination of patients and create a diagram demonstrating superficial and deep venous anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology to assist the physician in recommending a safe, effective treatment plan.
  • Create and complete patient encounter in the patient's electronic health record.
  • Save all images in patient's electronic chart and back up storage device.
  • Assist the physician during endovenous thermal and/or chemical ablation procedures with appropriate directions regarding needle and/or catheter placement.
  • Build rapport with patients by instilling a high level of confidence in the provider's ability to fully address their concerns.
  • Working knowledge of compression stockings and their function after vein treatment procedures.
  • Clean and maintain designated ultrasound rooms following each scan to ensure a safe and smooth patient flow throughout the day.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage the supply inventory and orders for all ultrasound supplies.
  • Participate in staff development, educational activities and maintain current certifications and accreditations.
  • Request assistance with placing patients, etc., as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
