Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem
About The Position
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem will: Perform ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients. Prepare patient for ultrasound procedure- this includes proper clothing, educating patient and family - if pediatric patient ease fears. Assist Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis. Determine when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure. Accurately record a complete technologist 'note' to include all pertinent information concerning the exam/procedure.
Requirements
- Graduate from approved school of medical ultrasound technology.
- RDMS required.
- Requires communication skills sufficient for effective communication with patients, physicians and staff.
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
