What to expect as a Respiratory Therapist: Safely administer Respiratory Care services and procedures as ordered by Physicians. Consult with other Hospital personnel and Physicians appropriately. Communicate well, have excellent customer service, and strong team-building skills. Make clinical decisions whenever necessary and be able to work independently. Exhibit competency in performing all procedures performed by the Respiratory Therapy Department as outlined by the Policy and Procedure Manuals. Maintain and clean equipment used within the Respiratory Therapy Department. Perform other duties as assigned. Attend in-service activities to further staff development.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited CoARC Respiratory Care Program.
  • Certified and/or Registered and have current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of previous Respiratory Therapy experience desired, and some Pulmonary Function experience preferred.
