This full-time Registered RN position in the Orthopedics Surgery Department at AAH Hartford involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. The role requires monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. A strong emphasis is placed on upholding and promoting a culture of safety, continuously evaluating patient, team, and unit outcomes, and taking action as needed. Responsibilities also include administering medications, treatments, and therapies safely, demonstrating effective communication and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration, and appropriate delegation to other nursing personnel. The RN is expected to pursue professional development, complete required education, maintain certifications, adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, and maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation. The position may require floating to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area. The RN must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, understanding principles of growth and development over the life span.
