About The Position
3 Bles is a 20-bed adult Medicine and Oncology Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Clinical nurses on 3 Bles provide expert care for acutely ill oncology patients, specifically those with solid tumors, as well as complex medical patients with a wide range of diagnoses. The nurses are dedicated to cura personalis, which means care for the whole person, and they actively involve families in the care of their patients throughout all stages of treatment. All nurses on 3 Bles are certified to administer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy. They participate in collaborative governance at both the unit level and throughout the hospital, sharing a Practice Council with the other Oncology Unit, 2 Bles, to improve clinical practice and promote professional development.
