About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Respiratory Care, with minimal supervision, the Registered Respiratory Therapist, upon request of the physician, set-up and operates various types of respiratory equipment and deliver physician-prescribed therapy. Promotes and ensures continuity in the quality of respiratory care administered by the Respiratory Care department. Other procedures or tests that may be required are Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), Electroencephalography (EEGs), or Electrocardiographs (ECGs). Performs other duties as assigned. Takes call as required.

• Effective communication skills with patients/families under physical and emotional stress.
• Ability to gather and exchange information effectively with nursing personnel, physicians, and customers.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients/families.

Responsibilities
