Requirements

  • Associate degree in respiratory therapy required; completion of AARC approved RRT program
  • Minimum of two years in the medical field. Previous experience preferred.
  • Registered in the State of Kansas as a Respiratory Therapist, licensed as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
  • CPR certification required.
  • ACLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders
  • Provide expertise in cardiovascular and pulmonary specialty areas in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Department
  • Supervise exercise sessions and provide outpatient education
  • Integrate roles as a clinician, teacher, consultant, and researcher across both departments
  • Deliver life support and respiratory care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
  • Work under the supervision and prescription of a physician or mid-level provider to ensure exceptional patient care
