About The Position

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a rural acute critical access hospital setting. This offers a unique opportunity to work independently and make a meaningful impact on a close-knit community.

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required).
• Current certifications in or ability to obtain: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Experience working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the equipment listed above is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, including end-of-life care.
• Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including: Fisher & Paykel Airvo 2 Heated High Flow System Hamilton T1 ventilator Nihon Kohden NKV-330 Non-Invasive Ventilation machine
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and EKGs.
• Administer breathing treatments using various devices and delivery systems.
• Manage ventilators and provide airway management for critical patients.
• Work autonomously during night shifts, ensuring high standards of patient care and responding to emergencies as the sole respiratory therapist on duty.
• Document patient care using the Meditech Electronic Medical Record system.
