Requirements

High School diploma/GED plus two (2) years of direct respiratory care experience or Associate's degree in respiratory care required.
Applicant must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Applicant must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP).
Knowledge of Respiratory care procedures and treatments.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Applicable medical equipment and supplies, medical terminology, and treatments.
Organization and time management.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in respiratory care.
ACCS, NPS, ACLS.

Responsibilities

Performs routine respiratory care procedures, including updrafts, metered dose inhalers (MDI), chest physiotherapy (CPT), arterial blood gases (ABG), incentive spirometry, and intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV).
Assists with bedside bronchoscopies, tracheotomies, and trach management, including emergency and rapid responses.
Educates patients regarding use, care, and cleaning of personal respiratory devices.
Moves equipment and medical supplies into assigned work areas and transports diagnostic equipment as needed.
Provides mechanical ventilator setup and management.
Enters patient treatment notes in the e-chart system and documents patient charts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
