About The Position
This 12-hour night shift Respiratory Therapist position is located at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, a 341-bed, Level II Trauma facility. Shifts run 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM with rotating schedules based on departmental needs. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend (or as needed), and holidays are required. No call is required. Floating to hospital floors is expected, and flexibility is essential, including support for nursery and ER when needed. Two days of orientation are provided. Documentation is completed in EPIC, and medications are managed through Pyxis.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including at least some exposure to neonatal and pediatric populations
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required, along with NBRC verification
- EPIC experience within the past two years is required and nonnegotiable
- A current license must be on file at time of submission
- All employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained, and full work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) are required
- Candidates must have reliable personal transportation, as public transportation is not accessible in this area
