About The Position

Overview Department: Respiratory Therapy Schedule: Per diem (as needed) nights 7p-7:30a Facility: Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital Location: Evanston, IL Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments Administer treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and ventilation support Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams Operate, manage, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment Document all assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record Respond rapidly to urgent and emergent respiratory situations Educate patients and families on respiratory health and equipment use Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required. 2. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire. 3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current. 4. Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current. 5. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire. 6. Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred. 7. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred. 8. Two (2) years of acute care experience preferred. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure. Requirements
