This is an excellent opportunity to work in an acute care hospital delivering respiratory therapy across a wide patient population. POSITION OVERVIEW The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services including therapeutic treatments, ventilator management, and patient monitoring. This role supports patients of all ages while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license required
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree)
- 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Open to new graduates with strong clinical training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory therapy treatments and procedures
- Set up and manage acute care ventilators
- Monitor patient respiratory status and adjust treatments as needed
- Provide care to patients across all age groups
- Maintain accurate documentation in hospital systems
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams for treatment planning
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and critical care needs
