About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a dynamic acute care team in a hospital setting. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care services, responding to emergencies, and supporting patients requiring advanced airway and ventilator management.
Requirements
- Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active State Respiratory Therapist License
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Care (required)
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient respiratory assessments, including breath sound analysis and airway evaluation
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Assist with artificial airway placement and management
- Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Respond to emergency and resuscitation situations
- Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress
