About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in a hospital setting. This role requires strong experience in NICU and PICU environments, delivering critical respiratory support to infants and children.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in NICU and/or PICU settings (required)
  • Strong experience in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care
  • Active Respiratory Therapist license (state-specific)
  • CRT or RRT certification
  • Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-acuity children’s hospitals
  • Advanced ventilator management skills in neonatal and pediatric populations
  • Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments to neonatal and pediatric patients.
  • Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and other life-support equipment.
  • Assess patient respiratory status and respond to critical care needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams in NICU and PICU settings.
  • Administer medications and therapies related to respiratory care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress accurately.
  • Participate in emergency response and critical care interventions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.
