About The Position

Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive compensation range of $35.55 - $54.79 per hour, with additional night shift differentials. The role is scheduled for night shifts at 0.9 FTE, totaling 36 hours per week. As a part of our commitment to providing exceptional care, the therapist will care for patients with respiratory cardiac illnesses and work with a variety of respiratory care equipment. Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Oregon State Respiratory Care License.
• Minimum of an associate degree from a respiratory therapy education program supported or accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
• Current BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS required at time of hire or completed within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
• Two years of clinical experience including all ages of patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of respiratory care equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases and illnesses.
• Work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.
• Operate Hamilton ventilators, Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) systems, and HiFlow devices.
• Utilize Epic as the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs after hours and on weekends using MAC 15 carts.
• Attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries.
• Respond to all Code Blue, Rapid Response, Trauma, and Code Stroke calls.
• Participate in ground transports with intubated patients, as needed.
• Maintain core staffing of two therapists available 24/7/365.
