Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. The Registered Respiratory Therapist position is located at Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231. This is a full-time role with night shifts from 5:30am to 7:00pm, including rotating weekends. You will work with cutting-edge medical technology and equipment and a diverse patient population as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required.
• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• Experience in Lead position in ICU/ER/Critical care is required.
• RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 Days required.
• Good verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.
• Evaluate each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
• Apply appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
• Demonstrate competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualize care based on age-specific needs.
• Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.
• Perform treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
