About The Position

Provides respiratory care services to patients with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system. Under qualified medical direction, performs diagnostic testing, therapeutics, monitoring, and rehabilitation. Participates in the development of patient’s appropriate plans of care in conjunction with physicians and other members of the health care team. Partakes in research projects, preceptor for students and new orientees; conducts patient and family education activities.

Requirements

• 1-3 years critical care experience
• Graduate of approved Respiratory Program
• Completed 62 semester hours of college credit
• New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Strong computer skills ie: Windows, Microsoft Word, Meditech

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree desirable
• PALS, Perinatal / Pediatric Specialty desirable
