Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. As a Registered Radiology Technologist, you will perform Radiology exams and Fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patients' safety. A caregiver in this role works nights from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. with weekend requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathological processes

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing.
  • Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations
