Responsible for the operation of radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic radiographic exams. The position requires competence in scheduling exams in the CR unit, as well as the use of PACS and Web PACS. The individual must demonstrate competency in patient care according to the age of the patient and population served, including neonate, infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Knowledge of growth and development is essential, along with familiarity with hospital policies and procedures, safety protocols, and disaster preparedness. The role involves performing radiographic exams under the supervision of a registered technologist, assisting in the orientation of new employees, and ensuring patient safety during procedures. The employee is also responsible for maintaining radiology equipment and participating in quality assurance and continuous education.
