About The Position

Adventist Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Radiology Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Radiology Tech you will prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, explain procedures, produce x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems, maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition, and ensure that the exam room contains the proper supplies for the diagnostic procedures. You will also recognize equipment limitations and malfunctions, ensure proper equipment function and inspections, and report failures to the Manager. Following department radiation safety procedures and protections in accordance with safety standards for patients and staff is essential. You will document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, prepare patients for radiology procedures, take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials, prepare contrast media and barium, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
  • ARRT(R) and Maryland Radiographer License Required.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
