About The Position

Gulf Companies is currently seeking a Registered or Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS/PLS) to join our team. The RPLS/PLS will be responsible for the management, planning, scheduling and performance of multiple survey projects and personnel. The candidate will apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluating, and completing survey projects. Will review and approve field measurements and direct and assist with preparation of survey documents. Will also direct field surveys as required by scheduling or for professional supervisory and quality control purposes.

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor license in good standing (Texas required, multiple states are a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying
  • Project Management experience
  • A.S. or B.S. Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute to the growth of the business unit
  • Working knowledge of Trimble survey equipment and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Familiarity with GIS and mapping software
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Some travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys to gather data and information necessary for land boundary determinations and topographic mapping
  • Prepare and process legal descriptions, plats, and maps for recording purposes
  • Communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in land surveying to improve our services and stay ahead of the competition
  • Maintain and update records and reports related to surveying activities
  • Direct field surveys as required by scheduling or for professional supervisory and quality control purposes
