The Registered Polysomnographer is responsible for knowing basic anatomy, neural anatomy, cardiac rhythms, sleep stages, and the bio-electrical patterns of each EEG, EOG, EKG, and EMG signals. Polysomnographers evaluate overnight sleep studies under the supervision of the Lab Supervisor and Medical Director and ensures that procedures are performed in compliance with departmental policy procedures and hospital standards.
