The technician is capable of identifying various abnormalities and performs tests adhering to Department standards to consistently produce records of high technical quality. The Registered Polysomnography Technician acts a resource person for the Licensed Polysomnography Technician.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Polysomnography program with an AAS, registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and a valid Polysomnogram License in NYS.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AAS and a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy License in NYS.
- One to three years' experience in a sleep lab.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use applied technology in a clinical setting.
Nice To Haves
- Sleep disorder specialist adds on or are registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, preferred.
