About The Position

A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the clinical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The technologist will be able to perform 16 channel polysomnography and associated patient care and education. This includes, but is not limited to: applying electrodes and sensors, calibrations of equipment, ensuring quality data collection and diagnostic procedures. The technologist must also provide accurate scoring, documentation and implement a variety of PAP therapies. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography or equivalent experience.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • BLS certified.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 16 channel polysomnography and associated patient care and education.
