About The Position

The position is located at HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL, within the Retail Pharmacy department. The role is full-time, requiring the individual to work various shifts between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:15 PM, including every other weekend and holidays. The primary responsibility is to assist the Pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing, distribution, and control of medications throughout the facility. All job duties must be performed in accordance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and the policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• One year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with Florida Department of Health required.
• CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) with national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
• CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) with national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required within 6 months of employment.
• ExCPT certification may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
• Ability to cope with confrontation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Distribute and control medications throughout the facility.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and regulatory standards.
• Perform data entry and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology.
