Registered Pharmacist - Full Time
About The Position
In this role you will be: Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions Prepare and dispense medications, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and controlled substances Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical consultations to medical and nursing staff Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with care teams to optimize medication use Educate patients and families on safe and effective medication use when appropriate Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, students, and interns Ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy and patient medical records systems Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within the pharmacy department OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements
- EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education
- EXPERIENCE: Current valid license to practice pharmacy in Pennsylvania
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Continuing education credits to maintain active licensure as mandated by the PSBP.
