Registered Pharm Tech III – Smith Clinic
About The Position
Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, helps prepare and distribute prescribed medication and other healthcare products to patients and customers. Responsibilities include reconstituting medications, compounding sterile preparations, managing inventory, delivering medications to patient care units, replenishing medications in automated dispensing cabinets, and participating in scheduled terminal cleanings. Clerical duties include answering phones, filing invoices, stocking shelves, and data entry. Accuracy and precision are essential to ensure patient health and safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered by Texas State Board of Pharmacy & in good standing
- IV Certification or MTM Certification
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician, including at least 1 year in a hospital or infusion pharmacy
- Exceptional verbal communication (e.g., public speaking)
- Writing and composing correspondence/reports
- Mathematics
- Medical Terminology
- PC proficiency
- Microsoft Office
