About The Position

Adelphi is seeking qualified Registered Occupational Therapists to provide services at a facility in Tom Green County, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide skilled occupational therapy services, complete assessments, deliver treatment, and support interdisciplinary planning for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Texas
  • Must be in good standing with the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners
  • All certifications must remain current throughout the assignment
  • Maintain required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licensure
  • 1–3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Must comply with agency & facility requirements, including drug screening & FBI fingerprint background check
  • Must comply with agency and facility immunization requirements
  • Must complete all required facility and agency training requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete occupational therapy assessments
  • Perform treatments and ongoing monitoring of clients
  • Provide training to clients and staff
  • Complete documentation and required reports by established deadlines
  • Participate in program planning for individuals with a variety of diagnoses
  • Attend meetings and provide information as needed
  • Provide skilled therapy services and attend client meetings
  • Teach and support Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff in residential homes
  • Conduct services in accordance with Texas Occupational Therapy laws and regulations
  • Comply with all applicable facility rules, regulations, and policies
