The person occupying this position serves as a member of an interdisciplinary Medical/Nursing team in the role of a Registered Nurse. This position reports to the Medical Director and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Ability to respond in an emergency situation and meet physical and mental demands of position.
Ability to assess and treat in accordance with acceptable standards of Nursing Care.
Adherence to established nursing protocols.
Clear and concise documentation in a timely manner.
Develop and implement appropriate Nursing Plan of Care.
Direct involvement in the development and execution of IEP's.
Educate and include client, family, and other appropriate staff in treatment regime.
Ability to assess for Tardive Dyskinesia via utilization of DISCUS.
Limit practice to scope defined by regulation to a Registered Nurse.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Current license to practice in the State of Tennessee that is free of sanctions.
CPR certified and in compliance with regulatory CEU's.
Certification or eligible to sit for certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Nurse preferred.
Consideration given to five years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
Experience working with dually diagnosed individuals is a plus.
