About The Position

The Arkansas Department of Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. The RN will assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. This position is classified as safety sensitive and requires frequent state and regional travel to work in other Local Health Clinics, with occasional out-of-state travel for training purposes. A valid driver’s license is mandatory. The RN will also be required to work outside of standard business hours occasionally.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with electronic health records.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders.
  • Develop, implement, and update patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.
