About The Position

UW Medical Center-Montlake - Endocrine Care Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse. WORK SCHEDULE 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm Our clinic is closed on weekends and holidays DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Endocrine Care Center offers comprehensive treatment, education, and support services for our patients. Common conditions treated at our clinic include: Thyroid and adrenal pathology Osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, and calcium disorders Male and female reproductive endocrinology, including polycystic ovary syndrome Gender affirming care POSITION HIGHLIGHTS We are proud to run a top-ranked endocrine tumor removal program We are the only clinic in the Greater Seattle Area to provide radiofrequency ablation and alcohol ablation for thyroid nodules We are a close-knit clinic with 24 providers and 11 support staff - this position will be the only full time RN on the team ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest. Requirements

  • 2 years of recent ambulatory clinic or medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
  • Active BLS

Nice To Haves

  • IV placement experience preferred but not required
  • Endocrine work experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide endocrine-focused nursing care in person, via phone, and via telehealth
  • Respond to patient calls and MyChart messages on a daily basis
  • Educate patients, their families, and their caregivers
  • Manage prescriptions and assist with insurance appeals for specialty medications
  • Handle the care coordination and continuity of care process
  • Administer specialty medications, including intramuscular injections
  • Support providers during minimally invasive procedures
